We are happy to announce that iSencia has joined the Eclipse Foundation as a Solutions Member earlier this year, and that we have joined the Eclipse Foundation’s Science working group.
iSencia has been using several Eclipse tools and frameworks since many years. Besides using eclipse as IDE for our Java development, we use equinox, eclipselink and other Eclipse frameworks in our SherpaBeans and Passerelle EDM software.
As sustainable open source software development requires more than just using what’s out there, we also want to contribute. Passerelle’s core has been developed in open source on eclipselabs since several years. Recently its hosting has been migrated from Google’s project hosting to GitHub at https://github.com/eclipselabs/passerelle.
Joining the Eclipse Foundation takes this one step further, and we are looking forward to be part of this large and vibrant open-source community!
Mike Milinkovich, Executive Director of the Eclipse Foundation : ‘Welcome iSencia to the Eclipse Foundation. We look forward to their active participation in the Eclipse community, and having their proposed project hosted at Eclipse.’
